Simple Methods To Make Your Guitar Practice Sound More Musical Instantly

A common thing I observed while dealing with students at different levels, is the challenges they face to make what they are practicing on the guitar sound more musical...

This makes the practice feel boring and repetitive and hampers the real gains you can make in your guitar playing...

There's also a general belief that you have to attain a certain level of skill on the instrument, before you could make anything sound good...

This belief has hardly any truth to it, and the cause for people to believe in this statement is that they have not experienced the reality due to a number of reasons...

The number one reason being lack of guidance and direction, especially from someone who has overcome the same struggles and helped other people deal with these challenges successfully...

The truth is, anybody and I mean literally anybody, can be made to sound musical on the Guitar.... irrespective of their existing playing level....

So here, I list down some of the simple yet highly effective methods, that I use with students, to instantly make their Guitar playing sound better...

  1. Customise things to your own playing level: Probably the biggest mistake that people learning guitar make... to take up stuff that is too difficult for their own individual skill level...There's a simple solution to this problem.. No matter what you want to play, you can customise it to your own playing level... Whether it's a hard to voice chord for a beginner, or a lead guitar line for an intermediate guitarist...Bringing down the difficulty in playing, and enjoying the music is the key to fix this. As you get better, you can even raise complexity of any piece of music and enjoy working on something challenging, which again leads to faster results. If you struggle to customise things to your individual playing level, you need to approach a teacher who can help you do that.. This is critical for consistent progress on guitar.
